Autumn Blessings

For me the Autumn seems to draw more thanks from me to God. Maybe it's the beautiful colors or maybe it's the Harvest, but also a humble gratitude that I get to live in a community as beautifully breathtaking as this. THIS is the entrance to the neighborhood in which I get to live. We've been here nearly ten years and I still never take for granted how blessed I am that I get to live here. It is beautiful all seasons, but especially now. Thank you God for your beautiful creation and may I never forget from whom it comes.

Publish a note and let me know what it looks like in the area that you are blessed to live in.

HALLOWEEN FUN FOR THE GRANDKIDS

I am not a big fan of Halloween other than seeing all the adorable children when they come knocking on my door each year. Now I DO dress up and most of the time I dress scary, but all in all I just would prefer there not be a Halloween (it gives me the creeps) But that being said, my new grandchildren really wanted a scary (but not too scary) party. So not wanting to disappoint them & not really wanting to go all out, I found two 59 cent bags of spider web and went nuts with it. So I hope they like it. I have a few more things to add including bloody red punch, eyeball cup cakes, bat gut salsa dip and rotten rat sandwiches. LOL!!
Enjoy the pictures and I'll let you know what they thought about it. Oh, and by the way, all this web came out of only one 59 cent bag!

My Latest Find- Tea Cake Bakeware

For years I've wanted a pretty mini tea cake pan, but had never been able to make up my mind on which one, or find one priced right! But this one solved the problem. Most pans have two designs maybe three at the most. So when I spotted this one, I had to buy it. There are ten! Count them, ten different little designs. Now, I know this might not excite some of you, but to me this is great! One of the other surprises is that it includes a versatile cake recipe with the glaze recipe included too. Now THAT is marketing.

Can't wait to have time to try it! Oh, I almost forgot, it came from William Sonoma.

Feeling Like Stew

My wonderful neighbor Kayla, invited me to dinner a few weeks back because she knew that I have been through so much in the last few months and that I was a little down and out. Well she made this delicious stew and gave me the recipe which is so simple. I thought I would share it with you.

In a large, deep skillet, saute onion quarters in olive oil until slightly tender. Then pour in chicken broth and add whole new potatoes, baby carrots, fresh Rosemary & McCormick's Montreal Seasoning for Chicken (or your favorite chicken seasoning). Bring to a boil then add cooked deboned chicken, reduce heat and simmer until the vegetables are tender. It is so good. I can't wait to make it again. Hope you enjoy it too.
