Spring Blooms Around the House

 Entrance to my back garden
My Hosta's are doing so good this year
 The Peony where absolutely beautiful!
The heavy rain over the past few days destroyed them,
but oh were they ever so beautiful and lasted so long after being cut!
My Wisteria was so full and beautiful too.
So relaxing and peaceful.

I've been playing around with spray paint lately (my new best decorating friend)
specifically painting generic glass flower vases.
Here I chose one that was cute with it's ridges. I found a can of pale pink and
went right to spraying. Then I glued it together with an old white plate
left over from catering.
Tucked it in a pretting pink bowl and wha la- a new arrangement!
Cheap & Easy! It's gonna look really great when the New Dawn roses
that are in the window come in bloom- can't wait!

Tackling the master bedroom & bath.  I've selected at least 7 different colors and still can't decide.
I would also LOVE to paint the furniture in white- still arguing with the hubby on that one!
Will keep you posted on the ....uh, progress.........

GOING COASTAL- Well a little bit anyway.

I've started working on a few projects around the house. I've been wanting to redo this guest bath for YEARS! I've had all the stuff ready since last January (2012) but have not had the time until now. I am really loving all the coastal looks lately and am going to embrase it thoughout my upstairs, starting with this bathroom. Would love all your comments.
Painted the walls a soft greenish blue. It's called "Water Mark" And I think it's the perfect color. It was an old worn out blue & white gingham check before - leftover from the precious homeowners.
A small bowl of beach glass and seashells
An antique nautical sign from Nantucket that I've been waiting to put someplace for years!
It works perfectly here over the tub.
New brown beadboard that I cut and installed all by myself (Yeah me!) I still have chair rail to put up, but I'm getting there. I'm also debating whether to paint the bead board white or leave it brown- would appreciate all inut.
I made the curtains from left over cotton napkins from my catering business and added the burlap stripes. I also added bulap to the bottom of my shower curtain.
Remember to let me know what your thoughts are on the bead board color!
Thanks for your visits.

I Loved this idea that the bride came up with for serving her guest's drinks.
They used paint chips as name tags. So cute!

It was a perfect day for Hot Apple Cider and Hot Chocolate
This was a little poem I came up with.
Oooo, our yummy Jalapeno & Peach relish for the biscuit bar. It is so good!
