GIVE AWAY & Spring is Here & I Am Loving It!

View from the Pink Room
So it's been really, really cold the last few days, but today starts a new warming trend and I am ready. Enjoy the pictures and as the garden grows, I'll post more.
Don't forget to check out the give away from Monday.
My rose trellis "New Dawn" a pale pink rose that blooms all summer long- this is the first year on the trellis. It will also have a deep purple clematis.

Love the yard. Roses and clematis are two of my favorites together.

Your garden is beautiful. I love the curvy flower beds and pretty paving. Please post a picture of the roses on the trellis when they bloom - they must be very lovely. Are the New Dawn roses a scented variety?

Beautiful! We still look dreary in VA, but the grass is finally green!

parTea Lady,
Yes the New Dawn does have a lovely light tea fragrance. I dry the petals and store them in sugar to use for a variety of things. Mostly for an icing I make for sugar cookies. Just place the petals in sugar for several weeks and then use the sugar however you desire.

That sounds delicious. I have made vanilla sugar with whole vanilla beans, but I've never heard of rose petal sugar. Thanks for the info.

Lovely, lovely photos! New Dawn is one of the prettiest roses ever, I think! And thanks for the tip about the flavored sugar.

(By the way, I'm still mulling over my entry for the scarf contest. That is beautiful, so my entry had better be good!!!)
