CORNED BEEF & CABBAGE

Well we had a delicious dinner last night of corned beef & cabbage. It has been a long time since I have made this. (We had cottage pie last St. Patrick's) Anyway, I don't know if it was the brand of meat or just that I cooked it in the crock this year, but this was by far one of the most tender corned beef brisket I can remember. I threw in potatoes, a vidallia onion and carrots nothing else and it was sooooo good. I hope everyone had fun and good eats for St Patrick's!

YUMMY!
WE had "potato soup".......because our big "Mahan Celebration of Ireland" party is on Sunday afternoon and that is when we will break out the corned beef and cabbage and other such food delights for everyone to sample!
Glad you had such a nice St. Patrick's Day!

I've never had corned beef, but I do love cabbage!

I hope DH doesn't see this. We had the exact same meal for dinner last night, but ours wasn't displayed with half as much artistic flair! (Must be that "catering" touch ...)

Seriously, that looks wonderful... wish you were closer so I could try your wares; sounds like you are a fantastic cook!
Thanks for dropping in and saying, "Hi!"

That does look very good and cooking it in the crock pot was a great idea.

Dear Teresa- Hello there and Happy St. Patrick's "Weekend!"

This is my 1st visit to your site: I am a big fan of Angela's "Tea With Friends" and just linked over to your site: just beautiful!

Your St. Patrick's Day messages were so inspiring...the recipes, the shamrocks, the table settings: WOW!

We are 100 per cent Irish (maiden name: Donohue) and growing up in Miami, our family celebrated St. Patrick's Day "the entire month of March." Between parades, parties and family reunions, we sure had a good time. Often, our Aunts & Uncles would come over from Ireland for the parties and we sure enjoyed hearing their stories.

Your blog site is sweet & I will share it with my family in Florida: six Donohue girls, one boy (Sean)...they are going to love it!

This St. Patrick's Day, we went to The Centre for Performing Arts - they had a neat fundraiser for the local food pantry.

Art students from Newnan High & Northgate High made pottery bowls (each design different) - then you selected homemade stews, soups and corned beef/cabbage: just delicious.

I picked a soup mug with green & white "shamrock-like" flowers, so I was thrilled.

Turns out, the pottery teachers are a married couple: Mr. Sizemore teaches at Newnan High and Mrs. Sizemore teaches at Northgate. What a talented couple. I got to meet some of their students - also very talented!

Thanks for brightening my St. Patrick's Holiday and I hope you have a nice weekend.

Sincerely,
The Anderson's
Joanie, Keith & Nick
