It's a sad day in my house today. The Munchkin has started day care. So Nana is a little sad and teary eyed. It's hard when the children fly the coop, but when the grand babies go, well that is just almost unbearable. I have a lot to be thankful for because being a grand mom you sometimes never even get to see them for long periods of time and I am so blessed to have been able to keep her with me for a nice long 2 1/2 years and even though I had a small break from Dec - March I still kept her quite often. So say a prayer for me today as I wander aimlessly throughout the house picking up her toys, toothbrush, hairbows, tea set, etc & just stop often to sigh and brush back a tear or two.

I love you Munchkin!

Now you'll get to be the ear! There to hear all about her adventures in the world when she comes back! To be able to "ooh, aah" and give big smiles.

I'm sure it won't take too long before you fill that lonely void with other things that mean a lot to you too. What a gift you have given your granddaughter to be able to have shared so much of your self with her!

I'm reading your post today with mixed emotions. I'm sure you'll miss seeing your granddaughter less often. Around here I am missing the "empty nest syndrome". My two grandsons live with me and now that school is out, I will be seeing even more of them.
